The Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival starts this weekend and we are beyond excited to get out there and enjoy all of the great activities around town! To help narrow down our itinerary, we decided to ask our social media followers what were their favorite festival events. Thanks to our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram followers, we have created a list of the must-do Coast Guard Festival events!

Coast Guard Ship Arrivals
Monday, August 1st @ approximately 1 pm

The USCGC Hollyhock, USCGC Mobile Bay, USCGC Morro Bay and CCGS Constable Carriére arrive to the Grand Haven channel. Come down to the pier and boardwalk to help welcome the ships to port! Free ship tours will be available throughout the week of the festival.

Coast Guard Craft Fair
Friday, August 5th from 9am-7pm
Saturday, August 6th from 9am-5pm

A uniquely fine handmade arts and crafts market. Find it Downtown at Central Park! More info.

Downtown Carnival
Tuesday, August 2nd from 6pm – 11pm
Wednesday, August 3rd from 2pm-11pm
Thursday, August 4th from 2pm-11pm
Friday, August 5th from 2pm-11pm
Saturday, August 6th from Noon-1am

Rides, games, great food on Washington Avenue. What more can you ask for!?

Meijer Grand Parade
Saturday, August 6th @ 11:45am

See more than 150 entries salute the men & women of the United States Coast Guard in this annual event. Catch it in Downtown Grand Haven along Sheldon Road, Franklin Avenue, Washington Avenue, and 7th Street. See the full parade route here.

Fireworks Extravaganza
Saturday, August 6th @ 10pm

End your week with a treat! Come on down to the waterfront stadium area to catch the special Musical Fountain Show followed by the famous fireworks show which is touted as one of the best in the state!
