This festival unofficially began in 1924 as a Coast Guard personnel-only picnic when the local Coast Guard station held rowing competitions for those service members stationed in Grand Haven. Today the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival has become a premier event with attendance of over 350,000 people, including the nation’s highest ranking Coast Guard dignitaries from Washington, D.C.
You won’t want to miss this 10-day festival with over 35 events focused on honoring the men and women of the Coast Guard!

Jeeps of all colors and vintage will take over Grand Haven’s downtown on Saturday, May 20. There will be a number of vendors giving out and selling items for the event. The Grand Haven Rotary Club is now selling raffle tickets for a new 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sport. 75% of the proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Accessible Neighborhood Playspace at Ferry Elementary in Grand Haven, and 25% will benefit international water projects in Honduras. Tickets are limited, so snap yours up while you can, and help support Grand Haven children and international clean water.
