Throughout the hike, Bill will share about the history and acquisition of the Ottawa Sands property by Ottawa County Parks, as well as basic property information, geography, and a natural features inventory.

The hike will be around 1.6 miles round trip. The trail is mostly gravel, with some hilly sections of loose sand.

He holds a B.A. in Art, Education, and Natural Sciences from Calvin College, and spent 30 years teaching in public and private schools.
