Area Lodging: Hotels & Motels

When you’re planning a trip, whether it’s a long vacation or a spur-of-the-moment weekend getaway, there are a lot of things to consider. Where/what will you eat? What activities will you do? What should you pack? And most importantly: Where will you stay? The Grand Haven Area provides a variety of lodging opportunities, including hotels & motels, inns, lodges, bed & breakfasts, and vacation rentals. Securing lodging in the Grand Haven Area is the first step towards an unforgettable vacation.

This is the first part of our Lodging Series which will highlight hotels & motels in the Grand Haven Area. Hotels and motels are two of the most common types of lodging, but there are differences between the two. Hotels are usually larger, multi-story, enclosed buildings with lots of rooms. Motels on the other hand are smaller and only have one or two floors with outdoor entrances to their rooms. Hotels sometimes offer more services/amenities than motels do.

When choosing the lodging that’s right for you, rates are also important. In the Grand Haven Area, the cost of lodging differs depending on factors such as the time of year and or the distance to the beach. Some properties may also have a minimum stay requirement, especially in the summer months. As you’re making arrangements for lodging, these are all things that you’ll want to consider. Here are some hotels & motels in the Grand Haven Area that you can call home during your stay.
