Spring is in the air – celebrate in the Grand Haven area! Here is a list of April events in our area:

Easter Egg Hunts
April 4
Grand Haven/Spring Lake
Children 10 and under are invited to participate in the annual Easter egg hunts at Grand Haven and Spring Lake Central Parks. There will be thousands of eggs filled with candy and prizes! The Spring Lake egg hunt begins at 10am followed by the Grand Haven egg hunt at 11am.

Bunny Train
April 4
Coopersville
The Bunny Train will take you on a ride through the Springtime countryside of Coopersville, MI. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance on each passenger car and the Springtime Princess will be reading stories. Each child will be given a surprise at the end of the ride.

Lubbers Cup Regatta
April 10 – 12
Spring Lake
Lubbers Cup is an annual collegiate rowing event held on the waters of Spring Lake. This event is a kickoff to the regatta season and brings in over 500 athletes from the Mid-West region.

Paint Party
April 16
Grand Haven
Bring your favorite beverage, an appetizer and gather your friends for a paint party at Dreese Fine Art & Framing. This class features a Hibiscus themed painting. Supplies are included and no experience is necessary.

Chilly Blues Fest
April 17 – 18
Downtown Grand Haven
Kickoff to Summer with the annual Chilly Blues Festival! Celebrate with the Blues Pub Crawl on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as the annual chili cook-off at Snug Harbor on Saturday.

Green Earth March & Fair
April 18
Downtown Grand Haven
Celebrate Earth Day in the Grand Haven area with the Green Earth March, followed by a fair and concert. The march begins at 12:15pm at the Ottawa County Court House, followed by the Earth Day Fair at 1pm and the Earth Rock Concert at 4pm.

Wine Social
April 21
Spring Lake
Enjoy an evening exploring new and exciting wines and innovative food creations prepared by Chef Jason. The wine social will be held in the private dining room. Event cost is $30 and reservations must be held with a credit card.

Spring Into Spring
April 24 – 25
Downtown Grand Haven
Grab your girlfriends and head to the Grand Haven area for a weekend of fun. Area businesses will have a variety of activities, sales and events to fill the weekend. Visit the website for a complete list of events and activities.

Katty Shack 5k
April 25
Grand Haven
The Katty Shack Race is a 5k run and 1 mille run/walk benefitting the Crime Victim Foundation of Michigan. The race starts at 9am and is followed by a pancake breakfast. Registration fee is $25.50.

Women’s Expo
April 25
Spring Lake
The Holiday Inn Women’s Expo features a variety of women based businesses in West Michigan. There will be vendors in health, beauty, wellness, clothing and pets. Admission is free.
