National Lighthouse Day Fan Photos

In honor of National Lighthouse Day on August 7th we asked our followers to share their Grand Haven Lighthouse photos. We had some great responses on Facebook. Here are some of our favorite photo submissions in no particular order! 

UPDATE 6/26/2026: Thanks to the Grand Haven Lighthouse Conservancy(goes to new website)(opens in a new tab), the fog house is now opening its doors to the public, offering a new way to explore one of Michigan’s most photographed landmarks. Learn about the history of the lights, the people who kept them shining, and the restoration efforts that have preserved this iconic beacon for future generations.⁠ Whether you’re a lifelong local or visitor to the Grand Haven Area, it’s a chance to see this historical structure from a whole new perspective.⁠ Currently, open hours are 10am-5pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, excluding holidays and inclement weather.⁠
