Breweries in the Grand Haven Area

A nice, refreshing drink poured from the tap is a perfect way to spend a summer evening. There are several diverse spots located in the Grand Haven area to satisfy all your brewery needs. A beer, cider, seltzer, or whatever suits your fancy is calling your name and you deserve to treat yourself. Below is a list of breweries to help you decide which option is best for you!

Grand Haven

Burzurk Brewing Co. on Washington Ave. has a bright and retro environment with a Caribbean Style taproom. They offer 12 taps with varying types of beers, ciders, and seltzers with an option to flavor your own hard seltzer or cider. They have food trucks that serve endless options of food including tacos, quesadillas, veggie fried rice, crab rangoons, and more to pair perfectly with your beverage. Odd Side Ales located on Washington Ave. is part of the Social District just steps away from the boardwalk and is a great place to go for a lively and buzzing atmosphere. Their drinks on tap range from beers, seltzers, wine, cocktails, and ciders. They have an extensive list of craft beers including their 1810 Series, darker and lighter beers, hoppy beers, specialty beers, and wild & sour beers. If you find yourself getting hungry, Odd Sides partners with Toasted Pickle, Electric Hero, Kirby House, and Porto Bello to deliver food to your table. You also have the option to bring in your own food or order from somewhere else. Odd Sides is open daily for a good time all week long!

Grand Armory Brewing Co. located on 2nd St. also resides in the Social District. Located in the historic 113-year-old armory building, this brewery has a selection of different ales, hand-crafted ciders, and wine on their 20 taps. They also offer local and craft beers alongside live music and other events, such as Vinyl Night. Once you start to get hungry, walk on over to Dr. Rolf’s BBQ, conveniently located in the armory building. This restaurant is filled with delicious dishes such as sandwiches, sliders, tater tots, tacos, and more. Good food, drinks, and entertainment is what gives the armory its charm, so make sure to stop by! Grand Armory Brewing is open daily, giving you ample time to try their large and sure-to-impress menu.

Spring Lake

Old Boys’ Brewhouse located on the water in Spring Lake offers a canine-inspired theme with an indoor and outdoor seating area. To go hand-in-hand with their theme, dogs are allowed on the patio for their outdoor dining, but they are not allowed indoors. Make sure to check with the host first about your dog being on the deck. For drinks, this brewhouse includes Michigan ingredients in their ales, lagers, IPAs, and more. They also have mixed drinks and wine. To pair with your drink is a mouth-watering menu of food everyone can enjoy. Their menu includes pizza, burgers, salads, sandwiches, and macaroni and cheese. They’re open Thursday-Saturday so you can kick off your weekend with their delicious drinks and food!

Coopersville

Coopersville Brewing Co. has a diverse taproom with 21 taps that pour oatmeal stouts, saisons, lagers, ales, and IPAs. They pride themselves on being farm-raised and city-inspired, with an atmosphere drawing from the looks of Chicago. They often have live music to accompany your drink, and their sister restaurant, One Eyed Pete’s, has a hearty menu consisting of wings, burgers, sandwiches, loaded fries, and more. They’re open Tuesday-Sunday.

Allendale 

Trail Point Brewing Company is comprised of 24 taps with beer handcrafted in Allendale, cider, and seltzers. They have several weekly events such as trivia, Yoga & Beer, live music, and $1 off their tier one menu. Food trucks come on varying days of the week and provide several different options. Some of the food trucks are Patty Matters, Two Bones BBQ, Smoke and Ash, and Righteous Cuisine. Check out their Facebook page for information on events and food options. Other Places to Enjoy Craft Beer

Paisley Pig located less than a mile from downtown has a unique drink list to compliment their sometimes unique menu items. Their drink menu includes seltzers, IPAs, ales, ciders, and draft beer with eye-catching names that will make you want to try them all. Their food is just as exciting as their drinks, as they offer pizza (some with hot dogs or pickles!), soups, salads, burgers, and even crispy duck and waffles! Voted a favorite by locals, you’ll want to swing by for all this gastropub has to offer.
