Enjoy a weekend at the beach as the sky is filled with colorful kites of all types and sizes. World-famous stunt kite fliers perform to music on the center flying field while kites larger than a school bus hover just to the south. Bring your kite to fly on the open flying field at the north end of the event, or test fly the year’s newest kites on one of the manufacturers’ fields.

Get your shovel and pail ready for the Annual Sand Sculpture Contest at Grand Haven City Beach! Visitors, residents, and businesses of the Grand Haven Area are invited to participate in the Sand Sculpture Contest, spectate from the sideline, and even cast a “people’s choice” vote! This family-friendly event is a great way to kick off your summer along Lake Michigan while putting your sand sculpting skills to the test! All levels of skill are invited to register.
