Nestled along the channel leading out to Lake Michigan is Snug Harbor, one of Grand Haven’s most iconic restaurants. Snug Harbor has been operating 
for thirty plus years. When it comes to their food and drinks, they like to be creative yet classic at the same time. With both an upper and lower outdoor patio deck, there is plenty of space for you to enjoy all of the great views that Lake Michigan has to offer, especially during sunset. Seeing all of the boats and big ships pass through the channel is an everyday occurrence at the restaurant.
Drinks
We sat up at the bar as the lunch crowd began filling the patios, Victor the bartender made us a couple of their specialty cocktails. Their Strawberry Peach Sangria is made with white wine and garnished with strawberries and lemons. If you prefer red wine, they have the Berry Bunch Sangria topped with delicious blackberries. They also have Kathy’s Key Lime, a martini famously named after their regulars for over 20 years “The Kathy’s.” This drink includes key lime pie cream liquor, Smirnoff lime, a s plash of soda, and is garnished with a graham cracker rim and of course, a lime wedge. Food
Snug also has some great food. Across from their patios they have Jelly’s, where they craft all of their sushi. Guests can watch right behind the bar as their yummy cuisine is made. On their summer menus they are also serving up fresh seafood, stacked sandwiches, and refreshing salads.
Snug Harbor is currently operating on a first-come, first-serve basis and is not accepting any reservations at this time. They are able to book private events for the Fall and Winter seasons. Monday-Thursday they are open 11:30am-9pm, Friday & Saturday 11:30am-10pm, and Sundays 11:30-8pm.
