Midwest Miniatures Museum
Are you looking to see a hidden gem in Grand Haven? Look no further than the Midwest Miniatures Museum. Located in downtown Grand Haven, this tiny (pun intended) museum is home to hundreds of miniature exhibits from the mind of Francis Light. Here you can find real life scale-model miniatures displayed in a gallery setting for enthusiasts, curious visitors, and families alike.
In 2007, the Midwest Miniatures Museum first opened at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, Michigan. Francis Mary Light is responsible for creating and gathering the miniatures that are on display.
Following her passing in 2012, the search began to find a more appropriate location for the museum. In 2019, the search had finally ended. The Historical Robbins House in Grand Haven was chosen as the new location for the museum.
Currently, the only open floor of the museum is the ground floor. Hopefully soon, the top floor and basement will be open as well.
Once the basement is open, you are free to bring in your own personal miniatures to display.
Come down to the Midwest Miniatures Museum today to see the smallest things in a big light.
