Camping in the Grand Haven Area
As the weather gets warmer and parks begin to open up once again, many people begin to get ready for another season of camping in the great outdoors. The Grand Haven Area offers numerous campgrounds that will satisfy any camper, whether they want to be off the grid or in the trailer. Here are some of our favorites.
Grand Haven State Park

If you want to be in the heart of Grand Haven, camping at the Grand Haven State Park is the right place for you. Located along the shoreline of Lake Michigan and within walking distance of the Grand Haven Lighthouse and Boardwalk, at this campground the beach is your backyard and the views couldn’t get any better! Outdoor Adventures Grand Haven Resort

Outdoor Adventures Resort is a private membership campground in Grand Haven. This spectacular space has 213 electrical and full hook up campsites and 16 rental units, including cabins! Cabins are a great alternative for those who want to go “glamping,” or even those who don’t want to deal with the hassel of setting up a trailer or tent. Outdoor Adventures is only 10 minutes from Lake Michigan, but they have plenty of activities to keep you and your family entertained for your entire vacation, including putt-putt golf, a go kart track, pools, train rides, and more. Eastpointe RV Resort
West Michigan’s newest Luxury RV Resort in Grand Haven on the Grand River and a short jaunt to the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. Allendale KOA

This campground is situated between Grand Rapids and Grand Haven, making it the ideal location to enjoy both city and beach life in Michigan. It is also just minutes away from Grand Valley State University. The KOA features many fun-filled activities for all ages, such as playgrounds, a volleyball court, and haywagon rides. Conestoga Grand River Campground

Conestoga Campground in Coopersville is located on the Grand River, which makes it an ideal spot for fishing. They have full hook up, water and electric, and primitive sites to chose from. It also features a swimming pool, a boat launch, kayak/canoe rental, a camp store, a game room, and many more sources of entertainment. For more information, click here.
PJ Hoffmaster State Park

About 15 minutes from downtown Grand Haven lies PJ Hoffmaster State Park, which is also nestled along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Along with the campground, which offers electrical hookup and semi-modern sites, there are sand dunes, miles and miles of trails, and the Gillette Sand Dune Visitor Center.
