Rosy Mound is a classic Great Lakes dune system including high wooded dunes, foredunes, beach and a dune blowout. A 0.7 mile (one way) hiking trail from the parking area to the Lake Michigan shoreline includes 1,000 feet of stairs up and down the dunes and scenic views of woods, the dune blowout and Lake Michigan. A unique shade canopy, dune boardwalk trail and pit toilets are located near the beach.

North Beach Park is located in Ferrysburg just north of Grand Haven and west of Spring Lake on North Shore Drive. It is tucked away and is one of Ferrysburg best kept secret with some of the best swimming and sunset views of Lake Michigan.

North Ottawa Dunes is a wooded dune park located just off the Lake Michigan shoreline on North Shore Drive. Ten miles of hiking trails link North Ottawa Dunes to North Beach Park and PJ Hoffmaster State Park.

Located on Lakeshore Drive just south of M-45, south of Grand Haven, Kirk Park features acres of dunes, woods, a Lake Michigan shoreline with a sandy beach, covered pavilion, playground, swimming beach, hiking trails with scenic dune overlooks, and cross-country ski trails. This park also includes a Dog Park.

This 114‐acre nature preserve offers great nature trails through protected dune land adjacent to the Grand River. Located in Grand Haven, situated between Lake Michigan and the Grand River on North Shore Drive. The Dunes Preserve is open to the public, with a set of trails that lead you from open dunes to forested ecosystems and much inbetween.
