The Friends of Grand Haven State Park and the Outdoor Discovery Center present a fun, informative opportunity to handle live Michigan wildlife!
During Up Close and Wild, participants will learn unique characteristics of Michigan animals and how they fit into our diverse ecosystems. In addition to the live animals, expertly managed by Outdoor Discovery Center personnel, hands-on artifacts, including skins, skulls, wings, feathers and talons will be featured.
Program is Free and suitable for all ages.
Up Close and Wild is sponsored by the Friends of the Grand Haven State Park in partnership with the Grand Haven State Park/Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Outdoor Discovery Center.
There is no charge for the program. A State of Michigan Recreation Passport or day pass is required to park in the state park.
