Grand Valley State University is a public university in Allendale, Michigan. It was established in 1960 and its main campus is situated on 1,322 acres (5.35 km2) approximately 12 miles (19 km) west of Grand Rapids. It is a scenic University with a Performing Arts Center, Golf Course, Field House and Recreation Center.

Lakeshore Trail

The Lakeshore Trail is a 20-mile paved pedestrian path that runs parallel to Lakeshore Drive and offers many recreational opportunities along the way. Aside from the famous state parks at either end, the trail travels through three Ottawa County beach parks and natural areas From Grand Haven to Holland.

Tri-Cities Connector Path

This recreational path connects Spring Lake, Grand Haven, and Ferrysburg. The biking/pedestrian trail includes a bituminous pathway, timber boardwalks, a prefabricated skybridge, modular concrete retaining walls, guardrail, lighting, landscaping, and signage.

Lakeside Trail

Lakeside Trail is a 15 mile bike trail that wraps around Spring Lake in Spring Lake, Michigan. Lakeside Trail continues into and continues into the North Bank Trail, provided by Spring Lake Township, which is a continuation of the Rail-Trail that extends east 3.3 miles into Spring Lake and Crockery Townships

The Grand River Heritage Water Trail in Ottawa County provides basic information on places to access the river, educational explanations of natural features to be observed, descriptions of county parks and open spaces where stops can be made, and interesting historical points of interest to help explain the colorful and rich local history tied to the Grand River.
