Murder! at the Museum

Posted on March 21st, 2024 by Jennifer Miller

You are a guest at an upscale jewelry auction being held as a fundraiser for your local Museum. The jewelry auction is sponsored by well-known local fine jeweler, J Morgan Jewelers, a longtime supporter of Tri-Cities Historical Museum. The evening takes a turn, however, when a body is discovered in the Museum. The police will arrive and immediately ascertain the person was a victim of foul play. Hoping to crack the case quickly, the detective on the scene will ask the event attendees for assistance with the investigation. Together in teams, you and the other attendees must identify suspects, conduct interviews, and put together clues to solve the case! Working together, each team will have the opportunity to search specific areas of the Museum. An assortment of clues will be hidden in these Museum spaces, and the ‘Murder!’ characters will be stationed nearby where they can be questioned by the sleuths. Every attendee will receive a notebook and pencil to record their suspicions. Putting their heads together to propose a solution to the crime, each team will earn points for determining the motive, the murderer, and the murder weapon.

Tickets go on sale to the public on March 1, 2024 beginning at 6:00 am, and sales will close at noon on April 5, 2024.

Space is limited, so two sessions will be offered:

April 13, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (doors open at 12:15 pm)

April 13, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm (doors open at 5:15 pm)

TCHM will be closed on Saturday, April 13 for this event, but will reopen Sunday, April 14, 2024, at noon for visitors.

Posted on January 18th, 2024 by Jennifer Miller

Come out for a night of fun that will benefit a great cause. The evening will include entertainment by the Main Street Dueling Piano Band, hors d’oeuvre stations, a cash bar, and more. Proceeds for this year’s event will be donated to the North Bank Trail project. Learn more about the trail, businesses, and other organizations in the area. Completion of the North Bank Trail will connect Grand Haven to Metro Grand Rapids via a non-motorized trail and will run through Downtown Coopersville. Coopersville will be the only city the North Bank Trail runs through the center of, which leads to many economic benefits. Trails raise property value, increase commerce, and offer low-cost health benefits, not to mention bring new people to the area.
