Come out and help keep our old-growth forest clean and maintain its beauty! Volunteers will focus on invasive species removal, trail maintenance, and woody debris/infrastructure cleanup at Duncan Park. Volunteers will meet at the Kiosk at the front gate and should bring work gloves.

Enjoy the fall splendor in Duncan Park’s old-growth forest from the comforts of your car. The Park’s paved drive will be open during this special event for one-way vehicular traffic from Lake Avenue to Sheldon Avenue. Donations are accepted but not required.

In 1913, Martha Duncan gifted the 40-acre Duncan Park to the people of Grand Haven for enjoyment and preservation. Join naturalist guide, Bill Martinus, to explore this example of an old-growth forest comprised mainly of hemlock and American beech but including pine, northern red oak, and sugar maple trees as well.
