The Tri-Cities Historical Museum welcomes you to come to this special event to hear some stories of our beloved Michigan lighthouses told by historian Andrew Kercher. Lighthouses are a critical piece of infrastructure and iconic pieces of architecture! Learn more about these sentries on the lakeshore as part of the Museum’s Storytellers Series. Learn about the famous lights that have guided everything from 1,000-foot freighters to sailboats on the Great Lakes since the 1820s. Hear stories of ever-changing technology, government corruption, German saboteurs, and life-saving rescues! There is more than meets the eye with these beautiful landmarks.

Attendees are welcome to stay for the museum’s Annual Member Meeting after the presentation as the Museum celebrates another great year of creating connections to local history.

Free event. RSVP requested.
