Friday, June 22 - Sunday, June 24, Soccer In The Sand will be holding a tournament at Grand Haven State Park!
Enjoy a day at the beach as the sky is filled with colorful kites of all types and sizes. World-famous stunt kite fliers perform to music on the center flying field while kites larger than a school bus hover just to the south. Bring your own kite to fly on the open flying field at the north end of the event, or test fly the year’s newest kites on one of the manufacturers’ fields.
This festival is fun and FREE to attend! There is a charge to park inside the Grand Haven State Park (out-of-state residents and those who have opted not to add a recreational pass to their license plate tabs will need to pay; those who do have a recreational plate tab will get in free).
Kites will be flying on Saturday, May 18, from 10am-5pm and on Sunday, May 19 from 11am-5pm. All events are weather and wind permitting so cross your fingers for great weather!
Come celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up the beautiful lakeshore at Grand Haven State Park on April 27, from 10 am to 12 pm. This event is hosted by the Sustainability and Energy Commission and the Alliance for the Great Lakes, and everyone is welcome. Meet in the parking lot at the head of the pier.
Supplies will be provided, you're welcome to bring your own bucket and gloves!
The Grand Haven State Park has amazing beach volleyball nets to play some competitive volleyball on. Rain or shine there will be tournaments going on throughout the summer to both watch and or participate.
