The Nature Center, located within Hemlock Crossing Park, has exhibits, a wildlife den with critters and activities, a wildlife viewing area where you can watch birds and animals at the feeders, and a gift shop. The center also hosts a variety of educational programs for schools, special groups and the public.

Hemlock Crossings is over 6 miles of trails for hiking and cross country skiing that meander through bottomland and upland forest, old pine plantations and along the river.

26 Mile paved all-season trail from Marne to Muskegon. It’s a peaceful, comfortable ride or run past quintessential farms with plenty of birds,butterflies and natural beauty to keep you entertained along the way. The entire length of the trail is paved with asphalt.

The preserve is home to several ships lost in storms on Lake Michigan, as well as other underwater structures and natural features.The West Michigan Underwater Preserve promotes scuba diving and conservation of the wrecks located here in West Michigan

The River Rat is where you may rent one of our tubes, canoes or kayaks and float down the beautiful Muskegon River. Life preservers and trip to the drop-off Point included. We also offer transfers of kayaks.
