Grand Valley State University is a public university in Allendale, Michigan. It was established in 1960 and its main campus is situated on 1,322 acres (5.35 km2) approximately 12 miles (19 km) west of Grand Rapids. It is a scenic University with a Performing Arts Center, Golf Course, Field House and Recreation Center.

The Lakeshore Museum Center houses our natural and cultural history exhibits. It is comprised of multiple sites and buildings including the Hackley & Hume Historic Site, the Fire Barn Museum, the Scolnik House of the Depression Era, the Archives, and our Museum Store.
