If you're coming from the north, south or areas east/west
Grand Haven is located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Grand River, hence the city’s name. Tucked between Holland to the south and Muskegon to the north, it is one of several Michigan beachtowns that are a part of the official Lake Michigan Circle Tour, a collection of established scenic routes that, well, circle Lake Michigan and take you through multiple states.
US 31, which runs north and south, is the most direct route to Grand Haven and its downtown main street, Washington Avenue.
