Our crew: Captain Cory Melvin has grown up on Lake Michigan following in his father Ken’s footsteps. Fishing Lake Michigan since the age of 11 years old, Captain Cory has seen and experienced a lot! Now as a Captain himself for the past 15+ years he is driven to carry on his father’s business and legacy with Fish On Charters!! First Mate Ken Melvin, a Vietnam Veteran, has been fishing Lake Michigan for over 50 years. His love for the great outdoors is what keeps him always wanting more. He is the hardest working “old guy” there is anywhere! A father of 2, he and his wife have lived in Grand Haven their whole life and would not change it for anything!!
Our Boat: The 31ft Tiara made locally in Holland, MI is a 1998. We are equipped with all the latest in electronics for navigation, safety, weather, knowledge, all of the fish finding equipment and tackle. Additionally, equipped with a large hardtop this vessel offers ample space and cool temperatures throughout the season!
