If you want to be in the heart of Grand Haven, camping at the Grand Haven State Park is the right place for you. Located along the shoreline of Lake Michigan and within walking distance of the Grand Haven downtown, Grand Haven Lighthouse and Boardwalk, at this campground the beach is your backyard and the views couldn’t get any better! This modern campground is unlike any other in the state park system. The sites are a little closer in proximity and make you feel like you are camping right on the beach. The sites are paved. The designated swim beach and the Grand River are just steps away. Firepits are not provided, but campers can bring their own portable firepits. They must be at least 6 inches above the sand and fully enclosed with a cover. There are no ground fires allowed, and firepits are not allowed on the asphalt or within 15 feet of any camping unit. *The old-style washtub fire pits are no longer allowed. Recycling is available.
