Grand Haven State Park has a beautiful sandy shore on Lake Michigan along the west side of the park and the Grand River along the north side of the park. The park consists entirely of beach sand and provides scenic views of Lake Michigan and the Grand Haven pier and lighthouse. Activities include camping, fishing, sunbathing, volleyball and swimming.
The world’s largest Musical Fountain is located nearby, with nightly performances through the summer months. The Harbor Trolley travels throughout the Tri-Cities area and is a fun way to get to the various shops and restaurants in the area. From the last weekend in July through the first full weekend in August, the Coast Guard Festival is held. For festival information phone: 616-846-5940. The Grand Haven Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is located less than a mile from the State Park Beach.
Modern lodge available for rent. Michigan Resident Recreation Passport required annually with license plate renewal. Non-resident recreational passports may be purchased online or in person.
