If breakfast is your favorite meal of the day, head to Dee-Lite Bar & Grill to enjoy a hearty breakfast of eggs, meat and toast. This diner-style restaurant’s large portions won’t disappoint!

TTD-FOOD&DRINK3Prefer a more non-traditional breakfast? Morning Star Café is the place for you! They have a unique menu of breakfast quesadillas, omelets, gourmet oatmeal cakes and much more. If you stop by, don’t forget to try one of their fresh baked cinnamon rolls!

If you are looking for a cozy place to spend your morning, check out The Baker’s Wife, a small bakery located right downtown. Warm up with a cup of fresh coffee and try one of their delicious pastries.

Explore a winter wonderland

We have a wide variety of winter activities in the Grand Haven Area. From sledding and snowshoeing to downhill skiing – there is something for everyone!

Head to Pigeon Creek Park and explore the snowshoeing and cross country skiing trails. The park also has downhill skiing and sledding hills, as well as a warming lodge with concessions. Don’t have your own equipment? No worries, the Pigeon Creek Lodge offers both ski and snowshoe rentals!

For an exciting morning on the slopes, check out Mulligan’s Hollow, Grand Haven’s very own ski bowl! Mulligan’s Hollow is fully equipped with tow ropes, snow making machines and a warming lodge. Ski and snowboard on 6 different slopes ranging from beginner to experienced, or test your skills at the terrain park. Mulligan’s Hollow also offers rentals and lessons.

Thinking about trying something new? Spice up your lunch hour at Righteous Cuisine. The Mexican Cuisine menu has a variety of tacos and burritos that are unlike any you have had before. Oh – and don’t forget to try their award winning guacamole!

Stop into Lucy’s Market & Deli and try one of the grilled sandwiches, they won’t disappoint. Lucy’s Grandma’s Potato Salad is the perfect side to any sandwich.

Explore downtown

Washington Ave. is the perfect place to take a winter stroll, with heated sidewalks you will never have to worry about slipping on ice! It’s also the perfect place to do a little shopping.

Just before sunset, take a drive to Grand Haven State Park and walk to the pier – you probably won’t be able to recognize it under all of the ice! We suggest you stick around until sunset – you won’t be disappointed.

When it comes to dinner, Washington Ave. has plenty of options to offer. Go to the Kirby House and choose between 3 different restaurants all in the same building. The Kirby Grill, the Grill Room and K2 Pizzeria all offer different menu’s with a variety of foods for everyone.

Grab a table at Porto Bello and enjoy live music with dinner. Porto Bello has an American/Italian menu and is located in the old Piano Factory, a historic building in downtown Grand Haven.

Enjoy dinner with a view at Snug Harbor, located on South Harbor Drive next to the channel. Watch the chilly ice formations floating in the channel as you warm up with a bowl of baked potato soup!

The fun doesn’t have to stop after dinner, there is still plenty more to do!

For a lighter beer, try the Citra Pale Ale – a light IPA brewed with grapefruit and other tropical flavors. If you like a darker beer, go for the Mayan Mocha Stout – blended with Dutch Chocolate Coffee, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Try the ‘Totally Roasted’ cider brewed with candied pecans – the perfect cider for a cold winter day. If you are looking for something more traditional, try the Hard Apple – a semisweet cider brewed with Michigan Apples.
