What do hawks, owls and falcons have in common? They are all strong, intriguing birds of prey, hunters and vital components to a strong ecosystem. See examples of these imposing creatures live at the Grand Haven State Park! The Friends of Grand Haven State Park are sponsoring: Live Birds of Prey: A Bird’s Eye View, a presentation by the Outdoor Discovery Center Macatawa Greenway. The Outdoor Discovery Center’s collection of live birds of prey will highlight the life history of various species including hawks, owls and falcons. Audience participants will have opportunities during the program to closely view the birds. All birds used during the presentation will be those that cannot be re- released to the wild. Hands-on artifacts including skulls, feathers, pelts, and talons will also be featured. The Live Birds of Prey program will be held at the Grand Haven State Park Pavilion, 1001 S. Harbor Dr., on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 7:00PM.
