The Grand Haven Eagles will be supporting the Save Our Forest – Grand Haven Campaign during their Annual Beer and Wine Tasting Event. The event will have live music, food, and a silent auction for attendees. There will be a wide selection of wines, beers, ciders, and seltzers from area distributors for guests to enjoy! Each person will pay a $20 entry donation which will include 3 tasting tickets. Additional tastings can be purchased for $3.00 each! The proceeds of this event will help combat the numerous environmental threats that our local forests face, including Duncan Woods, Mulligan’s Hollow, and Lake Forest Cemetary. This event will be open to the public, and all are invited to join the Eagles for Craft Beers, Michigan Wines, and Tacos from Arturo’s Catering!
Save Our Forests – Grand Haven is dedicated to promoting the welfare of all 200 acres of the Grand Haven forests. The forest life of Duncan Woods, Mulligans Hollow, and Lake Forest Cemetery is being attacked by invasive species and plagued with diseases targeting oaks, hemlocks, and beeches. This has put Grand Haven’s forests into a crisis, as an estimated 95% of those trees could be lost. The destruction of this habitat threatens the erosion of dunes and homes, as well as wildlife. While enjoying a fun night filled with delicious food, beverages, and live music, you can also help restore the natural balance of native plants and wildlife in the beloved forests of Grand Haven!
