Plan your next winter getaway to the Grand Haven Area!

Ring in the new year with the NYE Eve Ball Drop in downtown Grand Haven. Even the sidewalks and streets have a special snowmelt system installed to keep you safe and surefooted as you make your way around for eating, drinking and shopping.

NYE Suggested Itinerary: 1). Today – book your overnight stay at a local lodging establishment.  2). Today – make dinner reservations (if needed) at one of our fine dining restaurants or at any of our local favorites. 3). December 31 – make your way to the Grand Haven area and check into your overnight lodging.  3). Remember to dress warm – bring a warm coat, hat, gloves and scarf. 4) Head downtown for a bit of shopping and a bite to eat. 5). Stop on in to a local pub, make new friends, have a couple drinks and listen to some live music.  6). Don’t forget to make your way to the corner of 1st & Washington between 11:30 – 11:50pm to cheer on the ball drop and watch the special fireworks display.

The Grand Haven Area is a year-round destination with plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy: skiing, downhill or cross-country,  ice skating, snowshoeing and sledding, just to name a few. Area parks are full of groomed and ungroomed trails to explore. Park restrooms are open. Warming houses and concessions are bustling. Cozy inns have roaring fireplaces perfect for a blanket and afternoon snooze. And let’s not forget shopping – considered a competitive sport by many.
