Take a ride one of more that 100 miles of bike paths & trails in the Grand Haven Area. The paths are perfect for all skill levels and wind around the lakes, rivers, dunes and wilderness. A popular ride is the 20-mile path along the dunes and shoreline, connecting Grand Haven to Holland. Bike paths can be found all throughout the region and cyclists along the way can stop and enjoy stores, restaurants, parks, and beaches. Learn more about all of the area bike trails below!

Grand River Explorers Trail (Grand Haven to Grand Rapids)
Construction was completed in June 2018 on the first 3.9 miles of the Grand River Explorers Trail from Connor Bayou in Grand Haven to Riverside Park in Grand Rapids . The first phase of a 30-mile paved trail from Grand Haven to Grand Rapids is finished and Ottawa County Parks officials hope to complete the entire trail by 2025. More Info 

Lakeshore Connector Path (Grand Haven State Park to Holland State Park)
The Lakeshore Trail is Ottawa County’s showpiece. The 20-mile paved bicycle path connects the communities of Grand Haven and Holland and allows you to travel from Grand Haven State Park to Holland State Park (two of Michigan’s most famous beaches) on one continuous route. More Info

Lakeside Trail (Grand Haven State Park to  Spring Lake)
This paved and maintained bike path wraps around beautiful Spring Lake. The 15 mile bike path has public restrooms along the way at Central Park in Spring Lake, in Fruitport at Pamona Park, at William Ferry Park in Ferrysburg and at Rycenga Park just west of Spring Lake. Lakeside Beach is a half block off the trail and also has bathrooms available June to September. Drinking fountains exist at all of the above locations plus at Lake Avenue and Whistle Stop Park in Spring Lake. More Info

Musketawa Trail (Marne to Muskegon)
The Musketawa Trail is a 25 mile, multi-use trail from Marne to Muskegon. It passes through the farmlands and wetlands, over creeks and through villages. The trail is a four-season adventure for outdoor enthusiasts, including bikers, snowmobilers, horseback riders, inline skaters, cross-country skiers, wheelchair travelers, hikers, and nature lovers. More Info

North Bank Trail  (Ferrysburg, Spring Lake to Nunica)
The first phase, a 3.3 mile stretch between Fruitport Road and 130th Avenue was completed in 2011. Work is scheduled to begin on the second phase, 4.5 miles from 130th Avenue to Polkton Township and will link to the Musketawa Trail. Eventually the 18 mile, non-motorized pathway will serve as a regional link between the beaches of Grand Haven-Spring Lake area and the Grand Rapids metro area. More Info

Spoonville Trail (Nunica to Grand Haven Robinson Township)
Named after a ghost town that once stood at the mouth of Crockery Creek on the Grand River, the first 1.8 miles of the trail were opened in 2016. The first phase goes from North Cedar Dr. to Leonard Rd., crossing the Sgt Henry E. Plant Memorial Bridge. It continues on two more miles of trail from Leonard St. to Nunica. More Info

Tri-Cities Connector Path Trail (Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg)
This recreational path connects Spring Lake, Grand Haven, and Ferrysburg. The biking/pedestrian trail includes a bituminous pathway, timber boardwalks, a prefabricated skybridge, modular concrete retaining walls, guardrail, lighting, landscaping, and signage. More Info
