Dr. Rolf's Barbeque

Nestled at the meeting point of Spring Lake and the Grand River, Dr. Rolf’s Barbeque serves up authentic, slow-smoked goodness on a site steeped in local history, formerly home to the Cutler & Savidge Lumber Company and most recently Old Boy’s Brewing. Spring Lake has welcomed generations of visitors since 1869, offering a laid-back lakeside retreat for nature lovers, boaters, and families. Dr. Rolf’s is proud to carry on that tradition of hospitality in the heart of the Village.

Though Dr. Rolf’s love for BBQ runs deep, it was his wife, Judy, who helped bring the dream to life. A true champion of their smoky flavors, she spent years sharing their BBQ at local events and gatherings before leading the charge to open their first restaurant in downtown Muskegon. Thanks to overwhelming community support, they expanded in May 2024 with this second location in Spring Lake, continuing their mission to serve great food with heart and hometown pride!
