What’s geocaching? Geocaching is an anytime, anywhere real world adventure. All you need is a GPS or the free Geocaching app, a free account on Geocaching.com and you’re ready to go! This endless outdoor activity takes you to places near and far to find hidden caches in all shapes and sizes. Once you find one, sign the logbook and return it to its original location. Some caches have items inside of them for trade so its always fun to bring along your own items to trade out for new ones. You never know what you’re going to find on your next geocaching adventure!
There are currently over 2.5 Million geocaches hidden throughout the globe – and over 1,000 and counting in the Grand Haven area! Geocaching is the perfect activity for families, couples, groups of friends or those of us who like to travel alone. There are caches hidden for all skill levels and ages. The Road Less Traveled Series
The Grand Haven area is a popular destination best known for its lighthouses, boardwalk, trolley rides, musical fountain and, of course, its famous beaches. However, there is much more to see! This geocache series is designed to bring you down the “road less traveled” to show you many of the places one may overlook while visiting the area. Be one of the first 175 to complete the series by finding 23 or more of the 26 hidden caches and receive a special-edition Road Less Traveled pathtag! Once you have finished the series, complete the form in your passport and send it to:
