Veterans Garden of Honor is just off SR 45 (Lake Michigan Dr.) on 68th Ave., in Allendale Community Park. The memorial, dedicated to U.S. veterans, features nine life-size statues of soldiers placed in a circle surrounding an 18-foot-tall obelisk topped with an American eagle.
The nine statues, including one of a woman to honor female veterans, represent those who served in our country’s wars.
