The Tri-Cities Historical Museum

Looking to catch up on some history? You way want to stop by the Tri-Cities Historical Museum! Located right in the heart of Downtown Grand Haven, this museum is a direct line to the past, showcasing local, state, and global artifacts. The building has three floors stocked full of interesting treasures. The Akeley first floor is a chronological tour of the area with exhibits ranging from Native Americans, to the fur trade, and the industrial era. The mezzanine floor features two gallery spaces that hold temporary exhibits. Exhibits on this floor in the past have included global arts from Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

Coopersville Museum

Opened in 1980, the Coopersville Historical Museum has worked to preserve the area’s history for both visitors and local residents. This museum is a great way to find a variety of awesome exhibits. When visiting, you will find a replica of a sawmill and other displays featuring life back in the day! The museum also has a wooden passenger train that was once part of the area’s interurban trail line. A Del Shannon tribute with memorabilia is also on display! The Coopersville Historical Museum is a great place to spend the day.

Opened in 1991, this awesome shop has always been a great place to go! The store has everything from kites and toys, to shoes and clothing. Once you step inside it’s hard to leave! Grand Haven 9

With all of the great movies coming out lately, what better time to go catch a flick than a rainy day! Grand Haven 9 is the place to be when it comes to cinematic adventures. They are committed to providing guests with a great movie, friendly service, and comfortable, clean surroundings.  The theater has 9 screens all equipped with stadium seating.

The Harbor Trolley

You can’t beat this Grand Haven classic! You can take the trolley around town to see all of the attractions that Grand Haven has to offer. Sit back and relax as your driver takes you around town. There are five stops that the trolley makes and you can get on or off at any of them. Believe it or not, the trolley is still great in the rain! Watch through the drop down covers that protect you as you venture around the city.

The Tri-Cites YMCA

Another great place to stay in shape while the weather isn’t cooperating is the Tri-Cities YMCA. This YMCA has all of the great accommodations and amenities you would expect. They offer classes for all ages, as well as family classes. They also have indoor courts, workout facilities, and an indoor pool.
