With a beautiful view of the Grand River, Chinook Pier Mini Golf offers a putt-putt course with 18 holes. The course is filled with different obstacles to create a fun experience for you and your date. Chinook Pier also offers a collection of stores and food shops where you can grab a snack.

Make sure to check out Sun Sports Rentals if you want some fun in the sun! From paddle boarding to kayaking, you are sure to find something that will interest you. MACkite even has electric bike rentals that are a blast to ride around. If you want something a little more unique, the Grand Haven Memorial Airport gives aerial tours of the area.

For the food lovers, the Artisan of Grand Haven teaches cooking classes. You can either sit back and watch or learn hands on along with the chef. If you have any extra time, make sure to take a walk down Washington Avenue and take a look at some of the shops!

Take a stroll on one of the many trails

Rosy Mound Natural Area boasts wooded dunes, open dunes and a sandy beach after walking down 1,000 feet of stairs. With the scenic woods and Lake Michigan, this area is a perfect spot to stop during the day. There is a shaded canopy near the beach along with picnic tables and grills. North Beach Park is another great choice that includes 745 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline. Visitors can climb the wooden stairway to the top of the dune for a panoramic view of Lake Michigan.

If you are looking for a hidden spot, take a trip to Five mile hill. Rumor has it you can see for five miles in all directions from the top of this lookout point.

There are plenty of bike riding opportunities on the trails around the Grand Haven Area. The Tri-Cities Connector Path connects Spring Lake, Grand Haven, and Ferrysburg. The trails include timber boardwalks and a sky bridge across the Grand River and Grand Haven drawbridge.

Food that will leave you satisfied

The Kirby House offers three restaurants in one – the Kirby Grill, the Grill Room and K2 Pizzeria upstairs. Snug Harbor has a beautiful waterfront view and has an outdoor patio where you can watch the boats pass by in the channel. Jelly’s sushi restaurant is also right underneath Snug Harbor along the channel.

If you are looking for a quick, cheap bite to eat, there is always Pronto Pups – an iconic  Grand Haven favorite! On Washington Avenue, you can find the Toasted Pickle,  Morning Star Cafe, Porto Bello, and a variety of other options for whatever you are craving.

Sunsets and sweets to end the night

I think we can all agree that the Grand Haven State Park and Boardwalk are the perfect spots to watch the sunset. The water glistens while the sky transforms before your eyes behind the beautiful Lighthouse and Pier.

A walk along the Boardwalk is always a must and it passes the Pier Peddler near Escanaba park where you can grab some ice cream. Sweet Temptations, less than a mile off the shoreline, is another great option for ice cream. They have homemade ice cream and waffle cones you’ll definitely want to try!

After the sun sets, catch one of the nightly Musical Fountain shows at the Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium. Get ready to be amazed as 90,000 gallons of water come to life before your very eyes with music playing in the background.
