Rosy Mound Natural Area offers high wooded dunes, open dunes and a sandy beach and 1,000 feet of stairs. With scenic of the woods and Lake Michigan this area is a perfect spot to stop during the day. There is a unique shade canopy near the beach and picnic tables and grills. North Beach Park is another great choice that includes 745 feet of Lake Michigan shoreline. Visitors can climb the wooden stairway to the top of a dune for a panoramic view of Lake.
If you are looking for a hidden spot, take a trip to 5 mile hill. Rumor has it you can see for five miles in all directions from the top of this lookout point.
There are plenty of bike riding opportunities on the trails around the area. The Tri-Cities Connector Path connects Spring Lake, Grand Haven, and Ferrysburg. The trails include timber boardwalks and a sky bridge across the Grand River and Grand Haven drawbridge.
