The Grand Haven Area has a multitude of places that are perfect for Mother’s Day.  Whether it’s a one-of-a-kind gift that you’re looking to give that wonderful woman in your life, or a delicious meal you’re hoping to treat her to, here are some ideas for how the Grand Haven Area can help you make this Mother’s Day the best one yet!

Merchants and Makers 

If you’re looking for gifts or something to do with your mom, grandma, or that special woman in your life this weekend, check out the 3rd Annual Merchants and Makers Event on Saturday, May 11 at D. Baker and Son Lumber (720 Pennoyer Ave.).  This event will have over 40 merchants, making this the perfect opportunity to snag a couple of last minute gifts for Mother’s Day. Or celebrate a day early and take mom down for shopping, live music by Bri Baron Music, as well as food trucks from Righteous Cuisine, D & D’s Gluten-Free and Voyáge Juice Co. Tickets for the VIP shopping hour (3-4 p.m.) are $10, General Admission tickets (4-8 p.m.) are $3. The event is free for kids.

Flowers


 

Grand Haven Garden House 

Grand Haven Garden House is known for their breathtaking flowers perfect for any mom’s kitchen table, or a hanging basket on the porch. Grand Haven Garden House Mother’s Day specials include: 25% off flowering shrubs, bird baths and benches, as well as a free watering can with a purchase of a 4 inch Gerbera.  Mother’s Day bouquets can be sent with a teddy bear, balloon, or a box of chocolates!

The Village Baker

Not only will Kirby house be offering their normal menu this Mother’s Day, but they’ve also added a special brunch menu until 3 p.m. No matter what type of food mom prefers, she will be able to find something she likes at Kirby House. This Grand Haven staple will provide you and your family a memorable Mother’s Day meal in the heart of downtown. 

Paisley Pig

Looking to try something new this Mother’s Day? The Paisley Pig’s unique menu will give you and that special lady in your life the opportunity to try dishes, like crispy duck & waffles, that you won’t find anywhere else. In addition to their regular menu, the Paisley Pig will be offering a few featured items on Mother’s Day, including a crab quiche. 

The Copper Post

New to the Grand Haven Area, The Copper Post offers a menu full of artfully crafted dishes. With an extensive small plates menu including tater tot nachos and bacon wrapped scallops.
