The first Saturday in December marks a special tradition in downtown Grand Haven as the community kicks off the holiday season with the annual Jingle Bell Parade! Here are the top 5 reasons not to miss this year’s parade!

#1 – Delight in the fantastic festive floats that light up the street as the procession winds through downtown Grand Haven. With so many creative entries you’ll be sure to seek out your favorite to cheer on.

#2 – Relish the opportunity to dine and shop in your favorite establishments in downtown Grand Haven prior to the parade. From hamburgers to fine dining; lots to choose from, and a great opportunity to do some window shopping and gift purchasing from local businesses.

# 3 – Celebrate the lighting of the community Christmas tree in Central Park. Along with the beautiful fountain lights, this is the evening the tree is lit.


#4 – SANTA and Mrs. Claus will be there!
Santa says, “The Jingle Bell Parade is one of my favorites.” He always takes time out of his busy schedule to delight the children as he and Mrs. Claus bring up the end of the parade.

#5 – It’s FUN!

The Annual Jingle Bell Parade presented by The Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors along with the assistance of community volunteers takes place the first Saturday in December beginning at 6:00 pm in historical downtown Grand Haven.  The parade begins at the Ottawa County parking lot on Franklin Street heading west to Harbor Drive, north on Harbor to Washington Avenue, and east on Washington to Central Park for the lighting of the community Christmas tree.
