Lazaro Vega is the jazz director at Blue Lake Public Radio and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Mr. Vega has written extensively about jazz artists and producers in the Grand Rapids Press, interviewing the likes of Dizzy Gillespie and Cab Colloway. Lazaro has also written liner notes for many notable jazz releases. He volunteers as a board member at the Urban Institute Of Arts and hosts live jazz events in Grand Rapids.
